Smithfield sits along the Lafayette River with many 1940s-1960s brick homes on smaller lots that back up to tidal creeks. Our trucks reach driveways off Tidewater Drive and nearby side streets where tight turns and low branches limit larger containers. We place 10- and 15-yard roll-offs for kitchen gut-outs and yard debris without blocking the narrow alleys common here.
Hot humid summers mean we schedule most Smithfield deliveries before 10am to avoid soft ground near the water. Residents in Colonial Place and adjacent blocks often need weekend slots when streets are less crowded. We coordinate with the city for any required street permits on jobs near Town Point Park access roads.
Service stays local from our Tunstall Ave yard so same-day swaps happen fast when a container fills quicker than expected after a storm.

Dumpster Rental in Smithfield — Local Notes
- •Older Smithfield homes often have short driveways that force containers onto the street, requiring advance city coordination.
- •Tidal drainage near the Lafayette River can soften soil after rain, so we use plywood or gravel bases on many residential drops.
- •Summer heat and humidity speed up odor in food-waste loads, so we recommend frequent hauls for kitchen remodels.
- •Narrow streets around Berkley limit 30-yard options, making 15-yard units the practical choice for most Smithfield projects.
